Business Analyst

Location : Guildford

Salary : £40,000 (negotiable) + benefits

Hours : 8am – 5pm (Monday to Friday)

My client is a big International Business within the Medical sector that produce Medical devices/equipment such as Custom Knee Braces, Hip Implants, Shock Therapy, Spine Bracing just to name a few. They have offices in the UK and America and have many sectors within the business such as products for Surgical use, Bracing & Vascular or Recovery Science (e.g. Shock Wave Therapy).

This is a leading international developer, manufacturer and distributor of high-quality medical devices that provide solutions for musculoskeletal health, vascular health and pain management. Their products address patient care from injury prevention to rehabilitation after surgery, injury or from degenerative disease, enabling people to regain or maintain their natural motion whether there is injury to their arm, leg or spine. This is technology-driven healthcare and their aim is to keep people moving regardless of injury.

They have over 5,000 employee’s and over 1000+ medical devices.

The Role

You will leverage and manage the tenders and proposals, ensuring that all written proposals for contracts and tenders are accurate, timely, factual, and relevant to the audience and finally horizon scanning and highlighting opportunities to ensure the company meet the deadlines. Leveraging your technical expertise in their software PowerBI, you’ll provide key data driven insight internally and to external stakeholders, including the NHS.

You will be a Business Partner with: business partnering, financial modelling and analysis and project management.


  • Commercial teams to ensure up to date periodical financial modelling for sales and coordinating key NHS & Independent Hospitals tender and framework submissions.
  • Marketing, designing, and delivering PowerBi reports to ensure proposals & reports are augmented by narrative and meaningful visualization.
  • Coordinating with IT department to implement further productivity /automation programs
  • Generating financial modelling and analysis in PowerBI on Sales, market trends past and present
  • Investigation & research of underlying movements in healthcare and providing actionable insights of findings

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Playing an active and influential role in reporting process ongoing improvement and automation, in conjunction with other experienced staff
  • Liaison with key Health Science stakeholders and customers
  • Review tendering portals for opportunities
  • Managing, reviewing, and monitoring submission process to completion
  • Sending out proposals, liaising with internal teams and tracking success rates.
  • Contribute to suggestions regarding improvements to our processes.


  • Ideally previous experience within the Health Science environment, for example NHS.
  • Experienced or working through the CIMA/ACCA qualification.
  • Strong MS Excel with preferably PowerBI or OBIEE skills
  • Strong financial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines, a team player yet able to act on own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills especially written skills.
  • Well-developed influencing and negotiation skills.
