Group Risk Account Manager
Location : Nationwide
Salary £27,000 – £32,000 + benefits + bonus
My client who are based Nationally are looking for a Group Risk Account Manager to join their team. We are looking for candidates who have got knowledge and experience working with Group Risk products such as Group Life Insurance, Group Critical Illness, Group Income Protection. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of SME Group Risk Clients.
Manage a portfolio of micro/small SME group risk clients, including all aspects of policy administration and policy management
Proactively contact clients at renewal points (and other regular intervals as appropriate to the client) to ensure that the relationship and their insurance policies run smoothly.
Ensure that client retention from the portfolio remains at appropriate levels
Proactively explore opportunities to expand income from existing clients
Win new group risk business through various referral channels
Maintain high levels of client satisfaction
Ensure KPI scores remain at appropriate levels
Transparent and timely reporting of renewal income and new business figures
Effective and efficient use of company systems
Maintain strong technical group risk knowledge through appropriate CPD and work-related training
Develop and maintain strong relationships with the group risk insurance providers
Essential criteria
A minimum of three years group risk experience in a broking or advisory environment
Experience of managing and maintaining a portfolio of group risk clients
Experience in successfully converting new business opportunities or willingness and desire to learn the necessary skills
Experience of using Microsoft Office programmes
GR1 qualified (or working towards)
A proven ability to manage a portfolio of group risk clients and all aspects of their policy management
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Confident, personable telephone manner
Professional, customer focussed approach internally and externally when dealing with colleagues and distribution partners
Well organised and able to respond well under pressure and meeting deadlines
Work well as part of a team as well as being able to work for periods using own initiative
Cope well with change, internally within the business and externally within the market
