Logistics Co-Ordinator

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM till 5 PM
Salary – £24,000 – £28,000 + 5% Bonus
My client is a big International Business within the Medical sector that produce Medical devices/equipment such as Custom Knee Braces, Hip Implants, Shock Therapy, Spine Bracing just to name a few. They have offices in the UK and America and have many sectors within the business such as products for Surgical use, Bracing & Vascular or Recovery Science (e.g. Shock Wave Therapy).
The Role
An exciting, hands-on opportunity to join a growing Logistics team. You’ll be working closely day-to-day with the Operations Director and Inventory Controller, this senior team role will include daily hands-on warehouse work as needed, offering growth and development, along with an office-based inventory management and purchasing role.
Duties
• Goods In – Supporting the unpacking, locating of deliveries using FIFO processes, storage of inventory and receiving of deliveries during busy periods
• Releasing of backorders in a timely manner
• Warehouse Processes – Overseeing the daily cycle count process to ensure it is being completed on time
• Continuous Improvement – A keen eye for identifying opportunities for improvement, inventory layout improvements, enhanced labelling, streamlining of processes, which will achieve an enhanced customer experience and reduction in errors
• Order Processing/Dispatch – Oversee, efficient daily running of the Order Processing area, with close monitoring of daily orders, reporting of KPI’s, ensuring all orders received before the cut-off are shipped out each day and the collecting carrier vehicles are loaded
• Returns Department – Monitor daily return levels and ensure they are being processed in a timely manner, develop KPI’s to monitor this process
• Inventory Management – Supporting the inventory controller, with purchasing tasks, optimizing stock levels, and reducing slow moving inventory
• Running inventory reports, analyzing sales data to set Min/Max replenishment levels for product under their control
Your Experience:
• 3+ years warehouse experience
• 1+ year Supervisor experience of a small team
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
• Stock management/Cycle Counting experience
• Accurate with attention to detail, whilst working under pressure, handling multiple tasks
• Oracle/SAP ERP system experience
• Any experience importing/exporting goods
• Experience of driving a forklift, an advantage
• Energetic and able to lift moderate weights
