Marketing Manager – Brand and Content

Location : Farnborough

Salary £40-45,000 + benefits and bonus

My client who are based in Farnborough are looking for a Marketing Manager who has got experience within Brand and Content. This is a vital and dynamic and fast paced marketing team and you will be responsible for planning, developing and delivering marketing content which is unique and engagement.


Daily Duties

Planning, developing and delivering marketing content which is unique and engagement.

This may include, direct mail/email, brochureware, website, articles, case studies, sales support materials, videos, social media and other collateral, all in line with our brand, tone and voice across all channels.

This role will work closely with proposition owners and senior managers, supporting sales strategy and influencing how we continue to develop the voice and thought leadership of our organisation.


Planning – helping to plan and implement a content marketing strategy for the business.

Writing – an exemplary writer, creating unique, engaging content that motivates, builds trust, increases audiences and drives enquiries. You write clean, concise, well-polished copy and understand how good content and different formats can be used to engage, convert and retain our audiences.

SEO – ensure online content is optimised for search in line with key word development.

Editing – review and editing of draft content supplied by others (internally and externally) to ensure it is effective and meets guidelines

Design review – work closely with in-house / external designers and other team members to ensure that content and design work together, are appropriately targeted and on brand, including the development and testing of new content formats, including the increased use of data visualisation.

Analysing – ongoing reviews of the effectiveness of content to improve performance

Sales support – creation of tender responses and other support materials to support our business development objectives.

Brand/tone of voice – Build and maintain written guidelines, championing our tone of voice within the company         – where required, to assist with the management of production and print


Skills Set

Essential experience of writing and editing content to support hard copy and digital marketing communications, including online / website and SEO.

Experience of working in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

Ideally developing marketing content within a regulated financial services business.

Essential experience of co-ordinating with in house design resource and/or external Creative Agencies, printers, mailing houses

Ideally experience of developing content and producing financial services communications materials

Desirable experience of working in a Marketing team within financial services targeting marketing communications at individuals (as opposed to business)

Desirable previous experience of working within a national Financial Advice business

Experience in building and maintaining positive relationships across businesses.

A proven track record of leading continuous improvement and driving change.
