Finance Administrator
Location: Hook (fully office-based)
Salary: £28,000–£32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Finance Administrator to join a dynamic finance team within a successful and growing organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid background in transactional accounting who enjoys working across both purchase and sales ledger functions, as well as supporting month-end and general ledger processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile purchase and sales ledger accounts
- Process invoices, payments, credit notes, and staff expenses accurately and promptly
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cashbook management
- Support month-end close processes, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with VAT returns, accruals, and prepayments
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries efficiently
- Provide ad hoc reporting and project support to the finance team as required
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
- Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting systems (e.g. SAP)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
