Quality Manager 

Location: Hook

Salary: £45,000-£50,000

My client who are based in Hook are seeking a Quality Manager to join their fast growing team. The Quality Manager will own the development and management of the Quality Management System (QMS). You will work cross functionally with teams across the business ensuring best practice policies and procedures are adhered too, manage the internal audit process and provide support on the development of continuous improvement plans with managers and their teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

Own the development and management of QMS across the business.

Report to the board at quarterly QMS meetings.

Develop and manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans, processes and procedures to meet the needs of the business.

Manage and deliver ISO 9001 accreditation and other applicable standards.

Support the Business Management Group (BMG) with the co-ordination of best practice process and procedures aligned to business needs.

Plan regular internal quality audits, review non-conformances and hold relevant areas accountable.

Report on Quality KPIs that lead to a robust continuous improvement (CI) process in line with the strategic objectives of the business.

Provide support to the BMG and their teams in the delivery of continuous improvement plans.

Support the BMG in their management and improvement of a robust non-conformance and root cause analysis process, providing regular reports demonstrating improvements.

Monitor the timely execution of the non-conformance process and measure the BMG member against the set KPI. Work with the BMG to ensure the quality of Product documentation supplied to customers that fulfils user and regulatory requirements.

Create and own the document control process for the business.

 

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience 

 

Minimum of 5 years experience in the development and management of QMS in an ISO9001 certified company within the manufacturing industry.

Good knowledge and understanding of process theory with a proven track record of converting into practice. Experience as a change agent who can challenge and drive best practice process improvements.

Demonstrate time management skills and the ability to prioritise. Excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Be able to adapt behaviour due to changing circumstances.
